Privacy Policy

Learn what Everyone's Tier List processes, how cookies, advertising and analytics work, and the choices available to you.

Effective date:

Everyone's Tier List (modutier.com) is a food-brand voting service that can be used without an account. This policy explains the information processed when you use the service and how cookies, advertising, and analytics tools are used.

1. Information we process

  • Voting session identifier: a random UUID is stored in a cookie and local storage to reduce duplicate voting and show your previous votes. It is not directly linked to your name or email address.
  • Vote information: the category, brand, selected tier, and voting time.
  • Addition requests: the brand or category name, optional URL, and notes you submit. Technical information such as an IP address may be used temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
  • Device and usage information: access logs, browser and device information, page views, clicks, scrolling, and similar usage data may be processed by hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers.
  • Communications: if you contact us by email, your sender address and message are processed through the email provider.

2. Why we use information

  • To count votes in real time, show your votes, and receive requests
  • To diagnose errors, maintain security, and prevent spam, duplicates, and abuse
  • To understand service usage and improve the user experience
  • To serve and measure advertising through Google AdSense

3. Cookies and local storage

For essential functions, we use a voting-session cookie (tierlist_sid, up to two years) and a matching copy in local storage. Language, theme, and language-banner choices are also saved in browser local storage and may remain until you clear site data.

Third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Microsoft Clarity may also use cookies or similar technologies for analytics, advertising, frequency control, and abuse prevention. You can delete or block cookies and site data in your browser, although some functions may be limited.

4. Advertising and personalization

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to this site and other sites on the Internet.

You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings. In applicable regions such as the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a published consent-management message may provide choices about advertising-related data processing.

5. Service providers and disclosures

The service operator does not sell personal information. These providers process information under their own policies and your settings, and information may be transferred outside your country of residence.

  • Supabase: storage and processing of votes and addition requests
  • Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery, security, and access logs
  • Google Analytics and Google AdSense: usage analytics, advertising, and measurement
  • Microsoft Clarity: analysis of screen interactions and usage patterns
  • Coupang: processing under its own policy after you select an affiliate search link

6. Retention

Vote and request data may be retained for as long as needed to maintain aggregated results, review requests, prevent abuse, and operate the service. The voting-session cookie lasts for up to two years, and you can delete browser storage at any time. Third-party retention periods are governed by each provider’s policy.

7. Your choices and rights

You can delete cookies and local storage in your browser and change Google advertising settings. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of information about you.
